Abby is an orphan no more. She is a daughter, a sister, a granddaughter, niece, and cousin, but not an orphan! This morning we traveled to the place where she was found as an abandoned 8 month old baby. It was a busy "walking street", where no cars are allowed. You can walk from shop to shop. She was left on the steps in front of a bank, bakery and toy store. They are currently renovating the buildings.
We then toured an old town market area. Lots of shops, we could of spent hours there, but had to go back to the hotel to pack up to fly out of Chongqing to Guangzhou.
On the way back to the hotel we stopped at a landmark location for Chongqing, the People's Auditorium.
Abby loves Taylor!
Abby enjoying her new uncle J.C., she blinked just as I snapped the photo.
We then headed to the airport and Abby had her first flight. She did not realize she was flying out of her birth province, the only home she had ever known, but H.O. and I did. She was very excited when she saw the planes, she kept saying WOW!! She did not want to stay buckled, but after take off she was distracted with a coloring book! It is now after midnight and everyone is settling into bed. Tomorrow morning we head to Abby's medical exam.
Thank you for all of your emails and comments, we appreciate your love and prayers!
Sounds like a wonderful, but exhausting day. I love the picture of Taylor and Abby! Glad to hear you've made it to Guangzhou; hope the medical exam goes well. Enjoy your time on Shamian Island.
