Only God can create a life.

Only God can bring a child around the world and create a family.

Only God knew before we were born that we would have a daughter that did not grow in my belly but in our hearts.

When we began our adoption journey we requested a girl between the ages of 4 and 6, at that point we would of never dreamed we would be bringing home a ten year old girl!  God doesn't want to give us too much information at the beginning, it would overwhelm us.  Our sweet Abby was waiting on China's Waiting Children Shared List at that time but we didn't know then that she would be our daughter.  In April of 2011 I saw Abby's face for the first time and she struck me and I thought what a precious girl for someone who wants to adopt a nine year old.  The thought of adopting a 9/10 year old had never occured to us.  It would be harder to bond with her, we would have less time to mold her, she would not be at home for as long. I continued to see her face from time to time on different advocate groups and showed her to H.O..  As time went on we began to think how perfect she would be for our family.  She would only be 16 months younger than Carrie Anne and they could be great buddies.  My mom pointed out to me that we had chosen the age range of 4-6, and that may not be God's choice for us.  We prayed whether she would be the daughter for us and after much prayer we decided to request her file and receive updates.  After looking at everything before us we knew she was ours!!   Only God...
