Why did God choose us to be the lucky parents to this sweet little girl??
We can't answer that, but we are humbled and appreciative that He entrusted this sweet, precious treasure to us! Actually, we are the proud parents of four precious treasures from God! We do not take lightly that huge responsibility.
Yesterday, was special for two reasons. The child who gave us the title of parents turned 17. Wow, the time certainly flies! Secondly, yesterday was one month since Abby joined our family and today was one month since our adoption ceremony.
This past month has been an exciting, tiring, giggly time of adjustment to our household. Our family has changed from a family of five to a family of six, and the kids have done great! It is fun to watch the kids adjust and we are a better family with the addition of our newest treasure.
Abby has adjusted so well! We have started school and she is doing great. She is like a sponge picking up new English words everyday. She seems to understand most things that I ask her to do. Last night H.O. stated it will not be long before she is telling us what to do, as she seems to be a leader. Hmm, we'll have to keep that
Tonight we had "American" Chinese food from our local take out for dinner. We all stated we loved American-Chinese food much better than true Chinese-Chinese food :)! Abby thought it was the best meal we had fed her since we had been home from China! She inhaled the noodles!
The last month with Abby has been so much fun. The other night Carrie Anne said, "Mommy, I think we chose the sweetest girl in the orphanage". I had to agree. I am glad we obeyed God's leading us to adopt this sweet little girl, we could of missed out on this huge blessing. I look forward to seeing what God has planned for Abby!
